Portway

Portway Lifestyle Centre represents one of the latest projects we have had the pleasure of supporting.

Reaching Financial close in May 2012, this facility offers the local community access to improved provisions for sport, leisure, social care and health facilities including a GP surgery.

The centre also includes much needed local services such as a community cafe, four-court sports hall, hydrotherapy pool for rehabilitation and other therapeutic purposes, a climbing wall, dance studio, fitness suite and full sized, all-weather pitch for senior, junior and 5-a-side football.  This facility is fully accessible to people with a disability.

This project is a real example of the commitment of both the Public and Private sector partners.  Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Sandwell Leisure Trust who have been working closely alongside the local NHS.  This scheme has also had significant investment injected in by Sport England to help create an outstanding community facility.
